Our Work

Our multi-disciplinary approach to considering the necessary steps towards high-quality health care enables us to support delivery of better-quality and safer health care through a number of projects.

Hospital Accreditation

Our neutral evaluations of hospital management and health care provision help us identify key challenges and support continuous improvements. We also help hospital staff learn more about health care quality and safety.

Accreditation Programme Internationally Approved

JQ’s Hospital Accreditation has been officially approved under the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua)’s International Accreditation Programme, thus confirming that it meets international standards. As a third-party evaluation body, we further embrace the values we stand for by using ISQua’s third-party evaluation to continuously improve our own performance.

Patient Safety Promotion

Volunteers from hospitals who clear our accreditation process form the backbone of our patient safety drive. We gather information on challenges faced by hospital workers, discuss these matters at meetings and seminars, and feed back to health care institutions nationwide.

The Japan
Obstetric Compensation System for Cerebral Palsy

We financially assist families caring for children who developed cerebral palsy at childbirth. We also analyze the root causes of cerebral palsy to help prevent repeat cases, thus ensuring disputes can be avoided or swiftly settled, and improving obstetric care as a whole.

EBM and Guidelines (Minds)

We provide clinical practice guidelines based on scientific evidence and patient values via the Internet, thus enabling patients and health care practitioners to take shared decisions on the best course of treatment.
