We perform activities from a neutral, scientific standpoint, holding ethics and autonomy in high regard, to improve both quality and safety in health care, and to ensure reliable health care system, thus contributing to the improvement of the nation’s health and welfare.

2003 Apr. The Patient Safety Promotion Project commences.

2004 Oct. The National Database of Medical Adverse Events Project commences.

2008 Oct. The National Database of Near-Miss Event in Pharmacy Project commences.

2009 Jan. The Japan Obstetric Compensation System for Cerebral Palsy commences.

2013 Apr. The Healthcare Quality and Sustainability Improvement Program commences.

2015 Jul. The Japan Council for Quality Health Care is rebranded by renewing the logo and organization’s abbreviation.
